Where did everything start? I’m honest to say there is no such story behind… it was me as a kid attracted by lines and colors. Mate, the first memory related to graffiti dated back to a train trip, from Switzerland to Mestre (Italy) spending time running along the line. That was new to me… but I still remember it.
After, the Hip Hop culture reached the other guys that contributed to my first steps. In the secondary school I used to sketch some letters with no great results (obviously).
At the end everyone has his own story, who made some steps and whom others but the result has always been the same: desire to find ourselves on a Sundays of January under a bridge, freezing and dilapidated. The desire to take the car driving and going to find a spot lost on the top of the mountain or who knows where, to share our motivation with those who feed on it. Friendship and mentality.
At the end the real question is “when did you start?”. It was around 2008/09, when I seriously started painting, sitting to the bench at the High school with an older friend of mine. We started one weekend per month, then one every two and in the end every weekend we were keen for a new wall.
I was lucky enough to meet people more experienced than me, obtaining great results that I would have hardly achieved alone. I was lucky enough to meet people more experienced than me, obtaining great results that I would have hardly achieved alone.
It’s a world of sacrifice guys! Do not think that by copying two sketches from the usual profile with 50k followers you’ll become a well-known artist. Indeed… You NEED TO MAKE MISTAKES! Wrong coloring as you used one color that doesn’t match with the other and the crap comes out. Some 3D and lights on the wrong side. Wrong line out and you ended up with no difference between the background and the outlines. You have to mess up but do it better!
Recently, I became very passionate about stranded places. I always find inspiration and motivation, looking for some lost spots unnoticed by the one passed before me.
As in all stories there are those who are still part of it and who for a reason or another is out but anyway, whoever positively contributed to the evolution of my concept of Graffiti Art.
